As mentioned elsewhere on the site, Hill Country Christians Together is a diverse group of believers who live in the Texas Hill Country and who exist to encourage other Hill Country Christians to come together for united prayer.

This site is new, but out desire to join with brothers and sisters is not. We have friends in many different churches, and we are convinced that our churches and our communities will be stronger if we unite in prayer.

Steering Committee

To maintain our respect for diversity in unity, we have sought diversity on our Steering Committee:

  • Sara Allercamp - Oak Hills Church, Fredericksburg
  • Sheila Kale - Sonday House Fellowship, Fredericksburg
  • Debbie McLeod-McCurdy - Faith Baptist Church, Fredericksburg
  • Charles Metzger, South Church, Fredericksburg
  • Shane Sampson - Oak Hills Church, Fredericksburg
  • Jimmy Sportsman - Kerrville Church of Christ, Kerrville
  • Sally Tatsch - Primera Iglesia Bautista, Fredericksburg
  • David Turpin - Hill Country Evangelical Free Church, Fredericksburg
  • Brad Vollmar - St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fredericksburg

Vision

  • We will know God better; that is, He will purify and elevate our concept of Him.
  • We will know each other better.
  • We will be moved to repent primarily through a view of God “high and lifted up” (Isaiah 6).
  • We will be united in our love for one another in various Bible-believing churches throughout the Hill Country (John 17).

Strategic Objectives (in support of the vision)

  • We will support prayer events in our region, like organizing a meeting around the National Day of Prayer.
  • We will create and maintain a website that promotes united Christian prayer events.
  • We will join with people who really believe in prayer.
  • We will join with people who seek the kingdom of God; that is, they think outside the box of their own church and/or denomination.
  • We will take time during the early days (the incubation/gestation days). No hurry.
